Radicofani: a village in the Val d’Orcia

Agriturismo Piandigoro is situated in the green countryside around RADICOFANI, one of the five municipalities in the Val d’Orcia whose landscape has been recognised by UNESCO since 2004 as Heritage of Humanity. The municipality has had a Touring Club Italiano Orange Flag for years. We are at the far southern tip of the province of Siena, between the slopes of Monte Cetona and Monte Amiata. The provinces of Grosseto and Viterbo are less than twenty km away; just a touch further are the provinces of Perugia and Terni. There are numerous spa and care centres in the proximity: Bagni S.Filippo, Bagno Vignoni, San Casciano dei Bagni, Chianciano, and, at an equally short distance, the artistic towns of Pienza, Montalcino and Montepulciano.
